But you must ensure that you do not lose muscle , in order that your metabolism is kept high. To do this, you need to increase your protein intake. Typically your protein intake should be 0.8 – 1 gram per kg of body weight. Hence , if you weigh 60Kgs, your protein intake should be 50-60 grams per day.
You also need strength training done at good intensity to maintain muscle mass and keep the metabolism running. The number of repetitions can be moderate but the weights you lift need to be high
